Making the Syrup
- In a medium saucepan, combine 1 cup of fresh blueberries, 1 cup of granulated sugar, and 1 cup of water. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat, stirring for about 5 minutes until blueberries burst.
- Remove from heat and add 1 tablespoon of dried culinary lavender. Let it steep for 10 minutes.
- Carefully strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a bowl and allow to cool to room temperature.
Preparing the Lemonade
- In a large pitcher, combine the cooled blueberry lavender syrup with 1 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice and 3 cups of cold water. Mix well to create the lemonade.
- Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
Serving
- Fill a tall glass with ice cubes and pour the Blueberry Lavender Lemonade over the ice, filling to about three-quarters full.
- Garnish each glass with a sprig of fresh lavender and a few lemon slices.
