Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 4×8 inch loaf pan.
  2. Mash 3–4 ripe bananas in a large mixing bowl and stir in 1/2 cup of melted butter until well combined.
  3. Add 3/4 cup of sugar, 1 beaten egg, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract to the mixture. Stir thoroughly.
  4. Sprinkle 1 teaspoon of baking soda and a pinch of salt over the mixture. Gradually fold in 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour.
  5. In a small bowl, mix 1/4 cup sugar and 1 tablespoon of cinnamon to create the cinnamon-sugar swirl.
  6. Pour half of the banana bread batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  7. Sprinkle about three-quarters of the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the batter in the pan.
  8. Pour the remaining batter over the cinnamon layer and smooth it out.
  9. Gently swirl through the layers using a butter knife.
  10. Sprinkle the remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture over the top.
  11. Bake for 50-60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  12. Allow to cool in the pan for 15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
