For the Milk Mixture
  • 1/2 cup Whole Milk
  • 1/4 cup Sour Cream
  • 1/2 tablespoon Lemon Juice Juice of half a lemon

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Pat dry approximately 1 pound of deveined and peeled large shrimp with paper towels.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together 1/2 cup of whole milk, 1/4 cup of sour cream, and juice of half a lemon.
  3. Combine 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1/4 cup of corn starch, 1 teaspoon of salt, 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper, and 1 teaspoon of paprika.
  4. Dip shrimp into the milk mixture then coat in the flour mixture.
  5. Heat about 2 inches of oil to 325°F.
  6. Fry shrimp in small batches for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Transfer shrimp to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil and toss with the Bang Bang sauce.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy immediately.
