Preparation Steps
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine the whipped cream cheese, sour cream or mayonnaise, fresh dill, and kosher salt. Blend until smooth.
- Spread the herbed cream cheese mixture on one side of each slice of bread.
- Wash and thinly slice the cucumber, then layer the slices over the cream cheese spread on half of the bread slices.
- Top with the other bread slices, spread side down, and press gently to seal.
- Trim the crusts and cut each sandwich into quarters for easy serving.
- Serve on a platter, optionally garnished with dill sprigs or cucumber slices.
