- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your cake pans.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together cake flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Beat together cream cheese and butter until smooth, then add sugar and mix until fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Alternately add dry mixture and milk to the creamed mixture, fold in orange juice and oil.
- Stir in orange zest and orange extract, and optional coloring gel.
- Pour batter into pans and bake for about 28 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
