  2. Drain and pat dry the hominy using paper towels to achieve proper crunch.
  3. Preheat the oven to 375°F for convection or 400°F for standard baking.
  4. Combine salt, garlic powder, paprika, and onion powder in a small jar and shake well.
  5. Drizzle peanut oil over the dried hominy and toss to coat evenly with the seasoning mix.
  6. Spread the seasoned hominy on a baking sheet in a single layer and bake for 20 minutes, stir, then bake for an additional 20-25 minutes, checking every 5 minutes.
  7. Cool on the baking sheet for at least 15 minutes before transferring to an airtight container.
