- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Cook 1 pound of ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat until browned, about 8-10 minutes. Drain excess fat and let cool slightly.
- Stir in 8 ounces of softened cream cheese until creamy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Layer half of the meat and cream cheese mixture in the baking dish, followed by half of the pepperoni slices and diced bell peppers.
- Pour half of the pizza sauce over the layers and sprinkle half of the shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
- Repeat with remaining ingredients to create a second layer.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. In the last 5 minutes, remove the foil to let the cheese turn bubbly and golden brown.
- Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before slicing and serve hot. Drizzle with extra pizza sauce if desired.
