Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. Cook 1 pound of ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat until browned, about 8-10 minutes. Drain excess fat and let cool slightly.
  3. Stir in 8 ounces of softened cream cheese until creamy, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Layer half of the meat and cream cheese mixture in the baking dish, followed by half of the pepperoni slices and diced bell peppers.
  5. Pour half of the pizza sauce over the layers and sprinkle half of the shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
  6. Repeat with remaining ingredients to create a second layer.
  7. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. In the last 5 minutes, remove the foil to let the cheese turn bubbly and golden brown.
  8. Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before slicing and serve hot. Drizzle with extra pizza sauce if desired.
