Ingredients
  

For the Puff Pastry
  • 1 sheet Puff Pastry Substitute with homemade pastry if preferred.
For the Filling
  • 2 cups Fresh Spinach, Chopped Frozen spinach can be used, thawed and drained.
  • 1 cup Artichokes, Chopped Canned or jarred artichokes work well.
  • 1 cup Shredded Parmesan Cheese Grated mozzarella or cheddar can be used.
  • 4 ounces Cream Cheese, Softened Neufchâtel cheese is a lighter option.
  • 2 tablespoons Mayonnaise Greek yogurt is a healthier substitute.
  • 1 clove Garlic Clove, Minced Garlic powder can be used (1/4 teaspoon).
  • 1 teaspoon Salt & Fresh Cracked Pepper Adjust to taste.
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes Adjust based on preference.
For the Egg Wash
  • 1 large Egg (for egg wash) Milk can also work as an alternative.

Method
 

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Thaw the puff pastry sheet for about 30 minutes until pliable.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine spinach, artichokes, Parmesan, cream cheese, mayonnaise, garlic, and seasonings.
  4. Cut the puff pastry in half and spread the filling evenly over one half. Place the second half on top and press down to seal.
  5. Slice the pastry into six equal strips, twist each strip, and coil around itself to form swirls.
  6. Whisk an egg in a small bowl and coat the tops of each swirl with the egg wash.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and cool for about 5 minutes before serving warm.
