  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon Adjust based on spice preference.

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine sliced ripe peaches, 1 cup of granulated sugar, and fresh lemon juice in a large mixing bowl. Let sit for about 10 minutes.
  3. Melt the unsalted butter in a baking dish in the preheated oven for about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Whisk together the all-purpose flour, remaining granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Add whole milk and pure vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and mix gently until combined.
  6. Pour the batter over melted butter in the baking dish without stirring, then spoon the peach mixture over the batter.
  7. Sprinkle ground cinnamon and nutmeg over the top before baking.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes until the edges are firm and golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool for about 10 minutes before serving warm, preferably with vanilla ice cream.
