Basic Instructions

  3. Cut in the cold unsalted butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Gently fold in the buttermilk and diced fresh peaches until just combined.
  5. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead gently 2-3 times.
  6. Pat the dough into a rectangle about 1 inch thick and cut out rounds.
  7. Bake biscuits on the prepared baking sheet for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Brush the tops with melted butter after baking if desired.
