  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract optional but recommended

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and prepare a 9-inch round cake tin.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat together 100 grams of butter and 150 grams of sugar until creamy and light.
  3. Add in the eggs one at a time, then sift in 200 grams of flour and 50 grams of ground poppy seeds.
  4. Gently fold in 300 grams of diced peaches, reserving a few slices for decoration.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared cake tin and bake for about 30 minutes.
  6. Prepare the filling by whisking together 250 grams of quark with 50 grams of sugar and vanilla extract.
  7. Let the baked cake cool for 10 minutes, then spread the quark filling on top.
  8. Refrigerate the cake for at least 1 hour before serving, garnishing with peach slices.
