Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a large baking sheet.
- In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, 1 tablespoon of butter, shredded chicken, chives, minced onion, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough, separate triangles, and press them together at the wide ends to form rectangles.
- Spoon the chicken mixture into each rectangle and seal to form a ball shape.
- Melt the remaining butter and dip each pillow before coating with breadcrumbs.
- Bake for 22 to 25 minutes until golden brown.
- Prepare the gravy by blending cream of chicken soup, gravy mix, and water in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Serve with gravy poured over the pillows.
