Step-By-Step Instructions
  1. Season chicken breasts with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper, then dredge lightly in flour.
  2. In a large skillet, heat butter and olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for about 4 minutes on each side until golden brown. Keep warm.
  3. In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of butter, onions, and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add garlic and mushrooms, cooking for an additional 4 minutes.
  4. Stir in Dijon mustard and sprinkle paprika, then pour in dry white wine or chicken stock and simmer for 3 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle flour into the skillet and cook for 1 minute. Slowly add chicken stock and Worcestershire sauce, simmering for 2 to 4 minutes.
  6. Reduce heat to low, stir in sour cream until smooth, and return chicken to the skillet, simmering for another 2 minutes.
  7. Garnish with parsley or chives and serve over egg noodles, rice, or cauliflower mash.
