For Thickening
  • 1 tbsp Cornstarch Mix with 2 tablespoons of water.
For Cooking
  • 1 tbsp Vegetable Oil Olive oil or sesame oil can be flavorful substitutes.
  • Salt and Pepper Adjust to taste.
For Garnish
  • Sesame Seeds Optional but highly recommended.
  • Chopped Green Onions Can be omitted if desired.

Step‑by‑Step Instructions for Teriyaki Chicken
  1. In a medium bowl, combine soy sauce, honey or brown sugar, rice vinegar, and water. Add minced ginger and minced garlic. Whisk until smooth.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add vegetable oil. Season chicken thighs with salt and pepper. Cook for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
  3. Pour the teriyaki sauce over the cooked chicken. Gently turn the chicken to coat. Simmer for about 2 minutes.
  4. Mix cornstarch with water in a small bowl. Gradually add to the skillet, stirring continuously until thickened, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and transfer to a serving platter. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve hot.
