Directions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Gather your ingredients and baking dish.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy, about 5–7 minutes. Remove from the skillet, leaving the drippings.
  3. Using the bacon drippings, sauté the diced onion for about 4–5 minutes until soft and translucent.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the baked beans, crispy bacon, sautéed onions, brown sugar, BBQ sauce, mustard, salt, and pepper. Stir until well mixed.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30–40 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
  7. Remove from the oven and let sit for 10 minutes before serving.
