- Heat the skillet by adding 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat.
- Season chicken breasts with ground black pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, and salt.
- Cook seasoned chicken for 6-7 minutes until golden brown, then flip and cook for another 6-7 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Add honey, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, and Dijon mustard to the skillet and stir well. Let simmer for 5 minutes until thickened.
- Coat chicken in the sweet and spicy sauce for an additional 5 minutes.
- Boil salted water and cook elbow macaroni according to package instructions, then drain.
- Melt butter in a saucepan, add flour to create a roux, then gradually whisk in milk and cook until thickened.
- Add cheddar and mozzarella cheese to the sauce until melted, then season with ground mustard, garlic powder, salt and black pepper.
- Combine pasta with cheese sauce and serve alongside the Sweet and Spicy Honey Pepper Chicken.
