Ingredients

For the Syrup
  • 2 cups granulated sugar Brown sugar can be used for a caramel-like flavor.
  • 1 cup water
For the Fruit Skewers
  • 1 cup Fruits (e.g., strawberries, grapes, blueberries, tangerine sections) Fruits should be firm and dry for the best coating adherence.

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Bamboo Skewers
  • small pot

Method

Preparation Steps
  1. Begin by selecting your favorite firm fruits, wash them thoroughly, and pat them dry. Thread the fruits onto bamboo skewers, leaving space between them.
  2. In a small pot, combine granulated sugar and water. Heat over medium-high until it boils and reaches 300°F, around 10-15 minutes.
  3. Prepare a baking sheet with parchment. Dip the fruit skewers into the syrup, swirling them for even coating. Let excess syrup drip back into the pot.
  4. Place the dipped skewers in an ice bath briefly to help harden the syrup. Transfer to the lined baking sheet.
  5. Once cooled and the candy shell is set, serve immediately for the best texture and crunch.
