Step-by-Step Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine 8 oz of softened cream cheese, 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, 1 cup of chopped brisket, ¼ cup of diced jalapeños, and ¼ cup of chopped green onions. Mix everything together until it's smooth and well incorporated.
- Lay an egg roll wrapper on a clean, flat surface with one corner facing you. Spoon about two tablespoons of the flavorful filling onto the center of the wrapper. Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then tuck in the sides and roll it tightly away from you, sealing the edge with a little water to keep it secure.
- In a deep pan, pour in enough oil to submerge the egg rolls, about 2 inches deep, and heat it to 350°F.
- Once the oil is hot, carefully add the egg rolls in batches, frying for about 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
- To finish off your Texas Twinkies Egg Rolls, drizzle them with honey while they're still warm.
